                               "Show me a home in which the parents practice self-discipline and I'll show you a home where a mother and a father hold the love and respect of their children. A youngster asks only to be taught the boundaries of acceptable behavior."     

                               A well-disciplined man is the most successful man in this universe. No matter who you are, a professional, a knowledgeable man, a high ranking official in the public office or any private institution, a servant of the church of any sector even the lowest member of the society where you belong, if you have no discipline, then your life would be worthless, you are making yourself miserable. Life without discipline is not worth living. 

                               According to Nuggets of Wisdom; 2005 Edition of  Charles H. Spurgeon states that " If you do not teach your child the ways of the Lord, the evil will teach them the ways of sin."

                               Being the only Christian country in Asia, we must always discipline ourselves by following the teaching of Christ and let Christ be the center of our life, to our home, to our country and to all Filipinos wherever they are in any part of this world. Christ's Teachings will always remind us to discipline ourselves, to distinguish what is right and what is wrong and to say no to ourselves and be guided with reason in every decision that we are going to make. As Jose P. Laurel says that " The seeds of moral discipline must be nurtured from within... not from without." Discipline is the key to succeed in every endeavor we are going to reach. In our studies, we always discipline ourselves, how to use our time wisely, so that there will be no lost of any single second in studying our lessons. For me “ Time is gold and lost time will never come back again”, this is where discipline take part in my life as a good son, to my well-disciplined parents. 

                                 " Discipline, fairly and consistently invoked, breeds pride and respect. And children want-desperately-to be disciplined."

# 10 My Personal View

                                The video was really an inspirational story. I fell the sympathy of  what the person trying to portray. Sometimes in our life we fell so down that no one will help us, no solution to the problems we're facing, a lot of hindrances that we suffered that telling us to stop. But still we must put in our mind that we must not give up easily. We must stand still and face all the hardships that we may encounter in our lives just like what the person is trying to say and do to his life. He did not give up, he face all the struggles of his life.
                              
                                 I was so inspired by it and encourages me to become an inspiration for others too. I will show to them that even if I suffered a lot of problems, I still don't give up and be strong enough to handle my problems. I must trust myself that I will solve my problems and have strong faith in God.

# 8 The Way To Sunny's Dream

                                Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a poor but wise man named Sunny. He was dreaming of finding the lost Diamond Palace because for him, maybe it is the answer of his problems.  

                                 Because of his eagerness  of finding it, he tested many routes.The first route was going to the South.On his way, he experienced a lot of challenges but in the end he failed. Next is going to the east and then west but he still failed. He felt of giving up but he tried to put in his mind that he must not give up, he must be strong to face all the hardships that he may encounter. He still believe that he will find it.
                                 
                                  Suddenly, he realized that there is still one route remaining. So he felt excited and nervous. So without so much a do, he tried to discover that route. He was going to the north.On his way, he meet new people,more challenges and a lot of hindrance he suffered which tries to stop him, but still he did not give up.
                                   
                                  Surprisingly, on his way to the north, he saw a beautiful big Diamond Palace. The main door is made up of diamonds and it's facade was perfectly made. As he enter the palace, he notice that there was a staircase filled with diamonds. To the right of the staircase was the main living room, all the things you've seen are made of diamonds. In the left side of the palace is a huge dining room.

                                    Soon he realized that he had entered the palace the he had dreaming of. And then he lived happily ever after. THE END...

# 7 My Grandfather, My Hero

                      The day I was born was a great joy and happiness to my parents and grandparents because I am the first offspring of their generation yet there was full of anxiety and weariness in their faces, when they saw my left crab-footed leg. My grandfather, Aurelio V. Cahoy Sr., consulted this hazardous problem to an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Nestor Sison, who happened to be one of the consulting medical staff in the national athletic delegation of Region X. My grandfather was also the regional training director of the said delegation. 
                       When my grandfather arrived from the Palarong Pambansa, last March 1994, he immediately accompanied our family with my grandmother to Maria Reyna Hospital where the clinic of Dr. Sison  is located. I was four weeks old at that time, when I met the friendly face of my physician. although I was so innocent with delicate body, I felt the painfulness of my broken bone when it was stretched forcibly by the doctor. I was terribly crying for helped when he cemented my broken crab foot and wrapped it with a plaster cast.
                       He ordered an iron shoes for me to be used until my casted foot  will returned to its normal position  when my grandparents accompanied me for the check-up, I was crying hard every time I saw the face of Dr. Sison. I felt the phobia of painfulness I suffered much. 
                       Every time I see the shoes made of iron, that was preserved by my mother, I could still remember the uncomfortable heavy weight, the uneasiness of wearing it.
                       To this time, I can't forget the heroic deeds of my grandpa, Aurelio V. Cahoy Sr., who was so concern of my future. With his great courage and exceptional noble quality of being my grandpa, I am what I am now. If not of his untiring support maybe today, I'll be a desperate person who could not walk normally. Thank you very much Tatay. If not of your assertive effort, I'll be walking with difficulty. You are a hero for me and you will be always in my heart.         

# 6 Parents Really Knows Best

                    As Honey Dawn Salvanera shared her unforgettable experienced she had, I was so shocked of what she shared at me. It was a terrible experienced happened after their High School graduation. She was being poisoned of an unknown person. According to her, before the poisoning happened, her mother did not allow her to go outing with her friends but she insisted to go. So she go with her friends and her mother just cried because it is the first time that she did not obeyed. When Honey got home, her parents was so shocked because there something happened to her, she was being poisoned.
                   Because of what happened to Honey, I realized that  parents really knows best. There are instances in my life that I also didn't obeyed my parents because for me I was right but in the end, my parents are right and not me. They just want us to be safe and away from harm that might hurt us. We must obey our parents because our parents really knows best.
                 

# 5 Success Swings With the Breath of Heaven

                  Each one of us has our own unforgettable experiences that help us to become a better person and gives us more knowledge and strength to face squarely the inequities and tribulations in life. Beautiful experiences we had tested will also make us a person of a wholesome personality.

                  Talking about experiences, I do have some unforgettable lessons I learned from it. In fact I've got the best one and that was when we climbed a mountain and did a tree planting. That was during my high school days, when our school conducted a Reach-Out Program at Mt. Balatukan on the top of the mountain of Gingoog City. It was such a memorable experienced reaching the peak of Mt. Balatukan. Together with my classmates and with the group of college students, we don't mind the hardship and tiresome hiking, loading in our back the pack of foods, water, medicines cameras, and most especially the seedlings of trees that we were going to plant. We enjoyed very much seeing the panoramic view and rich natural beauty of the trail that we passes-by. The coolness of the forest , the musical sound of the of the clear and bluish water of the rivers and brooks, the singing of the birds up in the tall tress that covered the skies, the hanging wild orchids and greenish ferns captured our sight and ease the pains and tiredness we felt. reaching these place Mt. Balatukan was such a splendor and the tress we had planted with our soiled hands was the witnessed of our unforgettable experienced. May the good people protect them from harm by not cutting what we had planted  for protection of  human lives and destruction of lives. 

                    I therefore say that experiences say that experiences with sacrifices and firm determination will make a successful being. 

            

#4 Do Souls Remind?

                     Why do unbelievable things experienced by anybody? Does our Creator Permit these supernatural to let us feel their presence which we could not believe?


                     Three weeks ago, my one year old cousin was looking at our grandpa's picture and he was crying asking  for his mom's care and time for his milk. All of a sudden, he was vomiting and his body was so cooled. My auntie was nervous calling neighbors helped. My baby cousin was in state of convulsion with his eyes all white. His fingers were turning purple as if blood is no longer flowing in his delicate body. He lost oxygen. His Godmother who happened to hear the commotion was in hurry for help. She massage him with medicinal oil and thanks to God his skin return to it's normal color.


                      Yet, fever is still high in spite of the medicine he took. His mom and aunt brought him to a " hilot " anticipating fast relief and cure. It was there that they knew, our grandfather pitied the boy that causes him fever, according to this " hilot" and same time a human engaged in spiritual beliefs. She requested the mother to visit the graveyard of grandpa and lighted candles and prayers. It was then that the fever of my cousin subsided and his body temperature was back to normal. 


                      Departed souls need our prayers especially during their death anniversaries, birthdays and during Christmas time where in their sufferings in purgatory are shorter. Souls of our love ones reminds us to ease their sufferings through prayers and offer them masses.


                        Are you having a few seconds or few moments to remember them through prayers? Although they were dead long ago but maybe they still looking us, looking to their love ones. 

#3 I Won't Stop to Say Thank You to My Family

              Family is one of the greatest blessings that God gave us.Because they are always there for us in sadness and in happiness. Even if we face a great struggles in our life, they were the first one who will comfort us.

              Many people value their family this days just like an ATM machine. Why I said that?, I said that because it's  so true now a days. Many students just remember their families when they ask money from them. They just text or call them if they need something from them. After they get it, they don't even thank them properly. They don't even think that their family sacrifice so much for them.

               I would not treat them as the other people treat their family. I will try all my best to finish my studies so that all the sacrifices that they had made for me are paid off. I will study hard and just focus on it. These is my way to say " Thank You " to them for all the sacrifices and support that they had given to me. 

               Ten years from now, I will show value to my family by still communicating them even if I am busy. I will give time to them and go outing with them just like we do right now. I will not forget them even if I have a lot of things to do in my work.

               So therefore, we must value our family and treat them properly. We must show to them that we love them so much and we are blessed to have them.Because love of the family is life's greatest blessing.        

#2 Reading and Writing: A Form of Self Expression

             
            Reading and writing are essential to everybody. In reading, we can get more ideas or information and it can also developed our thinking skills. And in writing, we can express our feelings, opinions, and ideas.

           

             I can consider myself as one of those people who are good in reading and writing because I am focus of  what I've read. Every time I read, my imagination creates an illustration of the thoughts in the context. By that, it adds my vocabulary and broaden my ideas towards writing. It also helps me expressing my own ideas through it.Every time I read, I stop for a while and ask myself, "what have I learned?". Through these, I can monitor my comprehension of what I've read and if I comprehend. Since writing is about writing ideas, we can express everything what we want to express. We can show our own ideas, opinions, and feelings through writing.

            So therefore, reading and writing are so important to all of us. We learn from reading and we can express our own thoughts through writing.

#1 My Mission In Life

What is a mission? Why should we have a mission in life? And how could it change life? These are the common thoughts that appear in critical minds of a certain individual.

                               Life is a continuous journey for a certain purpose. Life is useless if we don’t know what our purpose is. So I asked myself just like others, what is a mission? How can it affect my life? What is my mission in life? Mission is a valuable thing that all of us want to achieve. It helps us to have a determination in all our works. It helps us to realize to do better things and soar high to achieve all our dreams and not just depending on other people. It encourages us to have this strength to face all this struggles that we may encounter in our journey to our dreams. And it also helps us to build the stepping stones and encourages us to step on going up to our dreams.

                                After I wrote this last line, I stop because I keep on thinking of what is really my mission in life? After a while, my phone rung and it was my mother who is calling me so I answered the phone. She asked me if I am okay here, if I eat properly, and if I have problems. So I answered her that I am okay, I eat properly but I have a problem because I already budgeted my money but I have to buy a workbook for my subjects and the deadline will be as early as next week . She answered me that, don’t worry I will try all my best to find money so that you can buy a workbook for your subjects. Just focus on your studies, don’t mind that. We’ll find ways for that. So I thank her and off the phone.

                       After the conversation that we had between me and my mother, I felt empathetic when I imagine how my parents will find ways to support my needs as much as they can. They sacrifice so much for me so that I would have a bright future. So in return, I want to help them of the best I can because of this I found the answer to my questions. Now I realize that my mission in life is that I want to help my family, I want them to be happy, and be glad of what I have achieved that all of their sacrifices are paid off. In return to all the sacrifices that they had made for me, I will study hard and just focus on it. So that I would have a better and a bright future someday.

                          So therefore, living a life is not easy; you need to be an antagonist of your own story in order to strive hard in facing difficulties in life. Each one of us has our own mission in life that we want to achieve. To be able to attain that mission we need to have this patient, we need to soar high, and put God as the center of everything what we do. To accomplish a mission is not as easy as they think because there are lots of hindrances that make us feel reluctant. By that, we are motivated by that inspiration that pushes us to be an achiever not only to our family but also to ourselves. And that is my mission.
